Ether Lin

Hi! I am an MSc Philosophy of Science student at Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method, London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to that, I studied MMathPhil Mathematics and Philosophy at Balliol College, University of Oxford.

My research interests lie broadly in the general philosophy of science, with a particular focus on the sociology of science, classification, conceptual changes, and conceptual engineering. Some neighbouring interests include rationality, relativism, causation, and explanation. My current research focuses on conceptual engineering in philosophy of science.

I’m also interested in the philosophy of Wittgenstein, social philosophy, philosophy of mathematics, logic, and 20th-century analytic philosophy. Sometimes I work on topics in sociology, such as identity politics, sociology of knowledge, and Pierre Bourdieu.
